It
was way back in 1991 when Peter and Pat arrived at Don Muang Airport,
Bangkok. At exactly 14:50hrs on August 17th they walked out of the arrivals
door, setting their feet upon soil that would eventually become home.
These days, DeWit footprints in Bangkok can be traced to Assumption
University campus, where Josiah works towards his degree in English,
to the ICS campus where Amanda and Alycia attend school, and also deep
into Siam Square where Peter and Pat are thrilled to be serving side-by-side
with an energetic team of emerging church planters. Peter and Patricia are planning to plant a new church in the near future. God
is surprising us with the unruly way He is stirring things up in this
sprawling metropolis.
We
want to have eyes to see what God is doing in Bangkok. Our prayer is
that we can read the signs of the times and live strategically.
Pray
with us as we help connect people into community, lead them to their
place of healing and intimacy with the Father, and equip them to be
ready to reach out when they are invited in to others’ lives.
Pray
for our sons, Jordan and Joel, who are living, working and studying
in Toronto. There are always certain challenges that enhance the everyday
life of third culture misfits who move back to their country of birth
