BIOJoel and Brandi Reimer are serving as International Missions Apprentices and will serve in Kolkata in a number of areas.
The will be involved in ministry to the Drug-addicted kids at Howrah. This ministry includes outreach on the train tracks where the children live, the teaching of devotional material and the feeding of the children. This work has also expanded to include a residential home outside of the city in a village area.
They will also be involved in ministry at Kalighat. This will involve ministry to prostitutes in the brothels as well as ministry to youth in the area. Joel will be involved with the youth and Brandi will participate in the ministry in the brothels.
There is also a strong local AGNI Church in Kolkata. The Reimers will assist in the weekly youth program as well as participate in weekly care groups.
