BIOHello and thank you for visiting our missionary profile page! We had a wonderful 2 years (Dec. 2009 - Nov. 2011) in Chennai, India managing a home for orphaned & abandoned kids called Hope For the Children. However the Lord has led us to start a brand new ministry in the nation of Sri Lanka. With literally tens of thousands of children displaced from their homes due to much civil unrest and natural disasters the time is now to help the poor children & family of Sri Lanka and the Lord has given us a burden for this country.
Our fellowship currently has no full time children's ministry and we feel the Lord has given us the desire to start a start a brand new ministry in Sri Lanka to reach the poor children in this nation. We want to begin by launching a CCP (Child Care Plus) program where needy children can be sponsored by YOU! Our long term vision is to build/start a care center where needy children can not only have their felt needs met (i.e. food, clothing, shelter, medical, etc.) but where they can better themselves through English teaching programs, technical skills, learning a trade, receive counseling and much more!
Sri Lanka is a place of over 20 million people, the majority staunch Buddhists. Other religions exist like Hinduism & Catholicism however Evangelical Christians make up probably less than 1% of the total population. The country has many beautiful sites to see but at the same time much poverty with many families & children living in very desperate situations.
Will you please pray for us? Together we can make a difference in many needy children's lives in the nation of Sri Lanka and bring glory to Jesus Christ! Our new ministry will be called 'Destiny Sri Lanka' as the vision the Lord has given us is to help needy & poor children find the destiny the Lord has for them!
